The mountains Welsh name is Yr Wyddfa which probably refers to the cairn built over the giant Rhudda Gawr who was slain by King Arthur. O - and don't forget the lake monster (Afanc) and the fairy folk (Tylwyth Teg) who inhabit the mountain.
