17 September - TUESDAY
Effective Skies: Revisited - (Elterwater & Langdales)
An effective sky with distant mountains in Watercolour We are returning to the wet into wet sky with mountain scene so that we can push the technique a little further
Also an option for 17 September
The Cantilever Stone: Glyder Fach - Line and Wash
A chance to brush up on your observational and drawing skills. Drawing for half the session then we will colour it in with washes
26th September
The Canal at Hebden Bridge - A Water-scape with Industrial Buildings
Don’t worry the buildings have now been turned into colourful flats. A complex scene with the added difficulty of barges
Providing encouragement, stimulation and development, while having a good time, for the beginner as well as the developing artist.
All Materials (paper, paints, loan of brushes etc) are provided, including the use of copied reference material.
Course Fee - £25 per daily session
This includes all art materials as well as the loan of brushes etc. Tea, coffee will also be available. Lunch (bring your own) is usually taken between 12 and 1 and often we break for only half an hour to get maximum painting time.
Booking is essential as classes will be kept small (max 5/6) to ensure individual attention.
In the various classes Malcolm will demonstrate a subject by drawing on a wide range of photographic and sketched material gathered from his various excursions. He will discuss the techniques used to produce the final painting using a step by step approach which allows the student to quickly develop confidence while also acquiring their own style of painting.
