A scene of the fishing cabin down on the Edisford Hall Estate water on the river Ribble near Clitheroe. It was a cold day in November when this painting was born. Everywhere was covered in hoar frost and the ground was solid and white. No snow but cold so it was easy to adapt the scene. Used as a print for Christmas cards and with the amount of phone calls and messages it was well received.
The day in question was a perfect day for grayling fishing but there was not a soul around. So I painted a couple of anglers stood at the cabin.
