Painting Classes for September will be selected from the following topics:
- A river scene in watercolour and ink featuring the bridge above Stainforth Force.
- A mountain landscape in acrylic featuring a lake backed by waterfalls.
- Flower portraits in watercolour - Here we will hopefully complete two paintings in the day with Nasturtiums/Cone flowers/Sunflowers.
- A maritime scene featuring a fishing boat in acrylic.
Due to the nature of the class and the small size of the group the subject matter painted on the day is chosen around those attending so it is necessary to book in advance. Please phone or text for details (details below)
Providing encouragement, stimulation and development, while having a good time, for the beginner as well as the developing artist.
All Materials (paper, paints, loan of brushes etc) are provided, including the use of copied reference material.
Course Fee - £25 per daily session
This includes all art materials as well as the loan of brushes etc. Tea, coffee will also be available. Lunch (bring your own) is usually taken between 12 and 1 and often we break for only half an hour to get maximum painting time.
Booking is essential as classes will be kept small (max 5/6) to ensure individual attention.
In the various classes Malcolm will demonstrate a subject by drawing on a wide range of photographic and sketched material gathered from his various excursions. He will discuss the techniques used to produce the final painting using a step by step approach which allows the student to quickly develop confidence while also acquiring their own style of painting.
